STACHANOW BAR

PERFORMER / CONCEPT

2021 - 2024

Original idea: Agentur Punch

With: Stefanie Oberhoff, Cèlia Legaz, Jule Bröcker, Marta González, Venus Villa

This is a mobile bar. It is also a mobile workshop.

It is a space for meeting and working. A place to take tea and drink ratafia surrounded by fabrics, giant puppets and projections.

Stachanow Bar is a hybrid between duty and celebration where we work on Punch Agentur projects while welcoming visitors, and where we are the waitresses. Everyone can relax, work or drink. Stachanow Bar combines an exhibition space with a workshop, a bar, a hairdresser and a place to dance, among others, depending on the day and according to the desire.

XisBag

IDEA / CONSTRUCTION / PRODUCTION

Idea: Venus Villa, Marta González, Emma Casadevall i Cèlia Legaz

In collaboration with: Gütesiegel Kultur*, Pallars livestock farmers, Associació Obrador Xisqueta, Ajuntament de Sort, La Clota Vic, known and unknown nice people and friends.

XIS-BAG is a project that unites audiovisual creation and large-format textile creation.

This project is born from looking up in times of confinement, paying attention to the territory and its relationship with the circuits of consumption and using the creative process to try to answer questions that are emerging: what is left of rural life? Why are there cycles that no longer close? Why is what was once useful now just waste?

So, the project wants to underline these unknowns and at the same time highlight a material such as wool, as well as the networks of people and projects that have collaborated in the research and exploration of artists in the region.

May 2020: we accompany the sheep slaughter and collect wool from neighbors

June 2020: we wash 60 kg of wool in the village laundry

July 2020: we bring the wool to felting and visit the felting workshop in Alicante and design the pattern of the giant handbag

August 2020: we make, build and assemble the handbag

September 2020: we have XISBAG, a giant haute cuture handbag (3.40m x 2.4m x 1.7m) made of sheep wool from the Catalan Pyrenees

October 2020: we offer the bag to Punch Agathe, the biggest pulcinella in the world

Britta Tränkler
Scenographie:

With the support of LaFT BW and Imaginale Festival

“WÄNDE” creates a space that actually moves. Between installation and performance, between audience and actors. But despite all the movement, "WÄNDE" is a pause, a leaning, an idea, a space in a space in a space, a notion of the space in between.
